Andrew:
Someone recently asked me how the Male and Female Mudras first started out. How was it conceived and what was its objective?
I think that we have always been aware of the male and female issues in the planet, Just that most of us take it for granted. And the idea of inequality between the sexes was something that we just grew up with.
On the one hand, we were told that mothers were very important and on the other, females were less worthy than men. Hmmm go figure that one out. That's when I stumbled upon the word "misogny" and that opened my eyes to the historical context of how women have been treated on this planet for thousands of years.
It eventually dawned on me that for years I had been learning techniques in different modalities that could redress that internal energy inbalance. And so together with my collaborators, Elizabeth Huxtable and Mohana Sunthari, we put together a programme and tried it out on some friends in Ipoh.

The first class of Male Female Balancing Mudras took place in Ipoh |
The workshop started at 10am and Andrew presented the slides
for the Male Female Balancing and Womb Blessing.
To summarise misogyny in our religions and philosophy over
the past two thousand years have subjugated women and caused untold harm and
misery.
The United Nations has started a
worldwide program to eradicate gender inequality and declared that the entire
planet cannot move forward when half its population is held back.
At an individual level, misogyny has caused a severe
imbalance in our metaphysical body – our male and female inner channels are so
out of alignment that they are not balanced and cannot access the middle wisdom
channel that connects us to cosmic wisdom.
Or to put it in a simpler context – there is no YIN YANG balance to take
us to universal oneness
What is worse – due to abuse and subjugation of the female,
the womb of the female experiences physical, mental, emotional and spiritual
dysfunction with severe diseases afflicting the female.
This abuse and
degradation of her menstruation and menstrual blood stops the free flow of
creativity in the womb and prevents the female from creating with joy and
purpose using her sexual primordial energy
So even if YIN YANG balancing is attempted through any
physical modality like Yoga, Martial arts and other recreational exercises to
reconnect to the spiritual wisdom middle channel– without the purification and
blessing of the womb – the female is cut off from her source of creativity.
Her
spiritual life force that is in the middle channel cannot rise and connect to
cosmic wisdom
Our entire society has to shift from abuse and degradation
TO respect and honouring the feminine womb so that the woman can reconnect to
her creative sexuality, be proud of the power of her menstruation and menstrual
blood and reclaim the blessings and abundance of the divine feminine in balance
with the divine masculine.
Even now the female menstrual blood is seen to be unclean and a menstruating lady cannot enter a temple.
The participants were asked to fill in a questionnaire that
would identify their male or female bias.
After the slide presentation, the participants were taught a
series of mudras:
The Yoni mudra - to clear the womb
Balance the left female side
Balance the right male side
And then perform the final Unity Mudra that
represents wholeness and completion to enable the participant to connect to the higher self.
Mohana Sunthari facilitated the balancing of male and female
energies. She scanned the energies in
each individual during the male and female balancing exercise and told each
participant the status of their yin yang energy.
One participant – CS - after doing the right male balancing
exercise felt a lot of heat leaving the right side of her body. She had been experiencing heaviness and
heatiness for a few months on the right side of her body from top to toe.
Another participant –KY – experienced the bliss of oneness
as she completed the final mudra.
Singing Bowl,
Feelings Kit and Vocal Sound Healing by Elizabeth Huxtable
Elizabeth then took all the participants through a sound
bath with her amazing singing crystal bowls and channelled vocals. This was
supplemented with a feelings kit consisting of essential oils that helped to
liberate and cleanse the energy body of many deep layers of old emotional
wounds.
At the end of her session, Elizabeth had a vision of the divine
feminine aspect in the form of the Magdalene going to every woman and blessing
her womb. Andrew explained that the Magdalene represented the feminine
principle as did Mother Tara, Kuan Yin and the Shakti.
Womb Blessing by
Mohana Sunthari
The idea was that the mudras in the first session and the
sound bath and feelings kit in the second session would balance and cleanse old
wounds in the energy body in particular the womb so that by the time we arrived
at the third session - the energy body
and womb would be receptive to the womb blessings channelled by Mogana.
To use an analogy – you can’t pour clean water in a glass
that is full. So the old dirty water had to be poured out first.
Mohana started by explaining that a lot of negative
emotional wounds had been released in the sound session and the mudras had
started to balance the left and right channels.
This would facilitate the womb
blessing, the middle channel to the cosmos would open and the spiritual
life-force at the base of the tailbone would rise and connect the participant
to the cosmos – transforming the individual to universal consciousness.
She relaxed everyone with a Reiki symbol Sei hei ki
multiplied many times and she then raised the spiritual life-force with
Kundalini Reiki from Levels One to Three.
Going into silent meditation, she then gracefully channelled the
primordial feminine energy with her hands gracefully guiding the energy into
every participant.
As the session took place, JK started to spontaneously raise
her kundalini life-force in a classic text book technique that Andrew learned
many years ago.
BK experienced a cool
minty feeling in her womb. And almost everyone experienced some form of heat or
coolness around their bodies.
TY who seldom feels anything thought she imagined some
warmth in her womb. And YD started
feeling sensations that indicated her womb energy had returned even though she
had an operation to remove her womb years ago.
All the feedback was positive and indicated that more or
less, every participant had an experience of feeling something in their womb or
were more relaxed. Some felt the energies around different parts of their body.
And for YY the womb energy was there waiting to enter once there was more peace
and balance. C saw the image of the Sri Yantra – it is an Indian symbol for
complete balance of male and female with all the blessings of such a balance.
Knh had visions during all the sessions
Belly Dance by Elizabeth Huxtable
Elizabeth brought some belly dancing outfits and shared
with the participants. She explained
that belly dancing was a wonderful and fun technique to loosen the energy in
the womb and allow it to flow and the pelvic muscles would be strengthened as
well – healing a lot of women’s health issues.
She took all the participants through the major techniques
and everyone had fun. We ended in a
joyful and playful mood at 5.30pm.
